Tell us about yourself – what are you doing, where are you?

I have been dreaming about living in Belgium for years and here I am now 🙂 working and living happily.

What do you love about your job (studies)?

My job at Microsoft is quite rewarding in terms of impact as I am dealing with initiatives shaping what the company gives to society for good. I love being involved in technology and education at the same time. It is really exciting, incredibly dynamic and sometimes too challenging – an entirely new world where I learn about myself a lot. Even though people tend to feel small in the big corporation, such experience can be quite precious.

Walk us through your (work) day.

Kalina who goes to bed and who wakes up are two completely different people. They fight with one another around 30-40 mins every single morning. I can never predict when and how I will wake up. When I finally manage, I am already time-pressed. I make a coffee, which I never finish, I make a sandwich, which I will eventually eat while walking. I change my clothes 2 times and I am finally ready to go. After the challenge of the morning is over I spend my whole day at work working with full efficiency (….TMI) . In the evenings I go to French classes, to Yoga, to work/social events, meet friends…I run to the highest point of the city and try to find time about reading. Every weekend I arrange differently and I explore my beloved Belgium.

What “rules” do you live by?

Appreciate everything you have; aim for happiness and tranquility and reach it with integrity.

What is the greatest thing about education?

In an ideal situation (which can be self-created) the most important aspect of education is to learn how to learn and to learn how to discover the things, which have not been taught.

Who has inspired you in your life and why?

One person, who has inspired me immensely, is a dear friend of mine, a Tibetan monk, who is a great teacher, a wise and warm person, whose ethics, can impact positively any social group or individual. He has shown me how to recognize and appreciate human virtues and how they can be compliant with any path of success.

What are you passionate about?

Which experiences in life helped you become the person you are?

First of all, GLOW. Second, travelling.

When things get tough, how do you keep yourself going?

I just keep going…

The things for which we should always find time are…? Why are they important?

Reading and sports. Unless we maintain our mental and physical health, everything else will be more challenging.

What kind of books (or which) do you consider must read?

What has GLOW given you?

Knowledge, inspiration, special mind-set, eternal friends, opportunities and much more.

Tell us something interesting that very few people know about you!

I love cactuses and I can talk to them for hours.

What is your advice for the young people?

Always dare for more and take care of your health  🙂
